2013 was a great year for me. I was able to get a lot of pick ups and wanted to show my top 10 pickups.

Honorable Mentions

Honorable mention is going to the Air Jordan Retro 5. 2013 was the 23rd anniversary of the Jordan 5 model. There were plenty of colorways. For me, the 5's are one of my top five Jordans. I was able to get the colorways I wanted except the black tongue Fire Reds. From left to right, we have the Fire Red, Oreo, and Laney 5's. The Fire Red 5's is a classic shoe. I pass on these on release date and was able to get them for my anniversary gift. I love that 3M Tongue. The Oreo 5  is brand new colorway and I think it's clean and simple. I was able to get these online without any problems. I guess I gotta thank the Black Friday sales for this but I'm glad I got them. The Laneys have not released since 2000/2001. I ventured out with these because I rarely wear blue. The Laneys are clean though. That tumbled leather, oval laces, and color scheme goes well with this shoe. These are the honorable mentions. Now on to the top 10.
Number 10: Lebron X "Prism"
This is my first Lebron ever. They're very comfortable. I love the look of the shoe and the concept of a diamond's reflection. The way air flows though keeps my feet cool.

Number 9: Kobe 8 "Milksnake"
I was a fan of the Kobe 8 last year. It had so many colorways but there were none that I just had to get. But when images of the milksnakes emerged, I knew I had found the colorway for me. These shoes are so comfortable; the lunarlon insole makes the Kobe 8 my go to shoe.

Number 8: Air Jordan ll Low
When i saw these I was kind of iffy about them. I liked them but wasn't sure if I wanted them in the collection. When I saw on feet videos, I was sold. This is a clean summer shoe and I think a black pair of Nike sock matches these perfectly.

Number 7: Air Jordan 8 "Playoffs"
The Playoff 8's is a very dope shoe. I passed on the Bugs Bunny 8's and was considering passing on these as well. I couldn't though; I was able to get them on Ebay for $20 over retail which was a good deal. I love the overall design especially the tongue.

Number 6: Air Jordan 5 "Grapes"
I love my Grape 5's. Purple is one of my favorite colors. I was disappointed when I couldn't get them on release date. Luckily, I got them for my anniversary. I've worn them once and they look good on feet

Number 5:  Nike Lebron 11 "King's Pride/Miami Nights"
Number 5 is a tie between two Lebron 11 models. When I first saw the King's pride, I overlook them. I liked the design ,but thought the $200 price mark was crazy. So I passed on them. Months later, I got to see them in person and loved them. I told myself i would get them if I found a deal. By this time, the Miami nights are two weeks from releasing. In my opinion, these were the best colorway and I wanted them. Then I found the deal I was looking for. A deadstock pair of kings pride for $150. I quickly got them. I had to travel two hours away  for the Miami nights because my local mall didn't have them and i struck out online. I'm glad I got both pairs.

Number 4: Air Jordan 12 "Taxi"
The Jordan 12 is my favorite model!!! I miss the Playoffs 12's while I was in basic training and haven't found them yet. These were a must cop for me. The taxis have a clean colorway. I love the design especially the stitching to make sun rays. This shoe is definitely a plus in my collection. I plan to get other colorways of the 12's to show love to my favorite shoe.

Number 3: Nike Foamposite One "Fighter Jet"
I saw Rondo play in these and wanted them from the start. You can say this shoe started me into collecting sneakers. I put effort to make sure I had these. I love how these look and they're comfortable.

Number 2: Air Jordan 4 "Toro Bravo"
The toros were a must cop for me. Most of my shoes have a black and red combination. I instantly fell in love with them. That red nubuck grabs your attention! It's a neck breaker for sure. I recently un ds them and they look amazing on feet!

Number 1: Air Jordan 13 "He Got Game"
My number 1 pickup of 2013 is the He Got Game 13's. I couldn't pass these up. i remember Denzel Washington buying these in the movie and playing in them. It's classic shoe. I wasn't able to buy a pair; I arrived at the mall late and they were sold out. I got them on Ebay for $270. I paid to $270 for some shoes!!! I really wanted them that bad and I haven't wore them yet. They're still in the box waiting to make a debut.

Picture
Here is a look into my collection as of now.  I know it isn't the biggest but it's  growing. I was able to get majority of the shoes I wanted last year. This year I plan to continue building my collection. I'm on the search for  previous release that I miss out on. I'm also picking up a few new releases as well. As I get new pickups, I'm going to add a post about them. At the end of the year, I will have a updated picture of the collection to see the growth within a year.
